Tonnie Rozier is the founder of Tonnie’s Minis, also featured on The Profit. This bakery is known for its unique cupcakes among other desserts sold. Tonnie’s Minis most popular treat is the create-your-own cupcake. Marcus found this shop in New York, New York. Rozier’s business was struggling. They were in debit to numerous people. Owner Rozier, unknowingly to his wife Erenisse, owed thousands of dollars to individuals including his own mother. Conflict within the business also hurt profit. Rozier and his sister Tamika worked together; however, most of her suggestions were ignored. Marcus was able to initiate conversations between Rozier and his family to reduce the number of arguments and lies. Another internal issues was the lack of knowledge of production costs. In the episode, Marcus simply asks Rozier how much it cost to produce a single cupcake. Under pressure, the exact number was guessed, which turned out to be very inaccurate. To increase the number of customers, the storefront of Tonnie’s Minis was changed. The create-your-own cupcake area was also transformed to mimic Subway’s process. Marcus offered $125,000 for 25% of Sweet Pete’s. Some of Marcus’ money was used to pay off those who had loaned money to Rozier.
